How to Make Hmong Salt and Pepper Shrimp

Ingredients

3/4 cup cornstarch

1 cup flour

2 lb Shrimp

3 cup oil

2 sliced jalapenos

Chopped green onions

1/2 cup white/yellow onions

1/2 cup red/green bell peppers

Add salt to taste

Add black pepper to taste

Directions

1Rinse shrimp and place in closable plastic bag.

2Add cornstarch and flour to plastic bag. Mix/shake well.

3Heat oil in a nonstick pot/skillet on medium high for 5 minutes.

4Add shrimp and cook for 3-4 minutes until golden brown.

5In a skillet over high heat, add the 2 tablespoons reserved oil and heat until smoking hot. Add jalapenos. Cook, stirring regularly, for about 10 seconds. Add deep-fried shrimps and toss for about 30-40 seconds. Add onions and bell peppers. Serve hot.
